Born and raised in New York, Sophia grew up in Queens and earned a B.A. in Philosophy from New York University. After moving to Houston to pursue a law degree at South Texas College of Law, Sophia became deeply involved in campus life, serving as president of a student organization, sitting on multiple advisory boards, and participating in trademark and copyright law clinics. During law school, she also gained practical experience through internships focusing on medical malpractice, products liability, and within an in-house legal team of an international petrochemical company.

Before joining Donato, Brown, Pool & Moehlmann, Sophia practiced at a boutique plaintiff’s civil litigation firm, where they managed a wide range of cases including first-party property disputes, contract matters, personal injury claims, landlord-tenant issues, and family law.

At DBPM, Sophia handles a diverse civil litigation docket, bringing thoughtful advocacy, strategic problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering results for clients across a wide range of disputes.
